Kamado Joe
Kamado Joe has released a new Konnected Joe, a digitally connected ceramic grill, combining all the benefits of traditional ceramic cooking with modern technology, offering a solution for easy fire-lighting and temperature control.
The digital controls and app-enabled features help grillers experience the benefits of ceramic grill cooking, but with the convenience of a button to ignite the fire and a dial to maintain the desired grill temperature.
“Kamado Joe has been committed to delivering a superior grilling experience since the beginning. We’re proud to introduce kamado-style cooking to grillers of all skill levels with the Konnected Joe, giving them the confidence and flexibility to use digital controls,” says Ben Forte, global marketing manager at Kamado Joe.
The Automatic Fire Starter ignition lights the charcoal, with the grill ready to use in under 15 minutes, while the Kontrol System ensures temperature control throughout the cook. It monitors up to three meat probes at once, with an Automatic Cook Mode giving step-by-step instructions on the digital display. You can alternatively use the Classic Cook Mode and control the temperature manually for traditional kamado cooking.
The app allows you to adjust and monitor your grill temperatures, meat probes and cook times and the Konnected Joe also includes features such as a slide-out ash drawer and and Air Lift Hinge for reduced dome weight.
Both Masterbuilt and Kamado Joe are owned by Middleby Outdoor and to celebrate the launch of the new grills, a Future of Barbecue event was held at CAMPFIRE in King’s Cross, London, the Two Tribes Brewery, to showcase the Masterbuilt and Kamado Joe products, with cooking from Thuy Diem Pham and Luke Vandore-Mackay, the meat supplied by Meat Matters and tunes played by barbecue DJ Kraig Haughton.
