Pub in the Park 2023

BBQ magazine was a media partner of the firepit at Pub in the Park, Brighton – one of a series of food and music festivals held across the country, hosted by renowned chef and TV personality Tom Kerridge.

The firepit, featuring Kadai, Kamado Joe, Charlie Oven and Gozney, saw an array of live-fire chefs demonstrating the art of outdoor cooking, taming the flames and creating great smoke-infused dishes. Adam Purnell, known throughout the BBQ world as Shropshire Lad, led the way, supported by drinks expert Andy Clarke, while James Brace fed the fires with Caradoc charcoal and Love Logs.

Chefs cooking over the weekend included Laura Sylvester of Boca Loco, Thom Bateman, Aston Prideaux, Brighton Cookery School, Kenny Tutt, Jamie Halsall of Cin Cin, Gemma Phillips-Ogston of Gem’s Wholesome Kitchen, Lerato Umah-Shaylor, author of Africana, Pete Dantanus of Burnt Orange, and George Egg, while Tom Kerridge shared the cooking stage with Danny Jones of McFly.
