Pork Baby Back Ribs

Enjoy this sweet and spicy Pork Baby Back Ribs recipe. Slow-cooked and slathered in homemade Dr Pepper BBQ Sauce, these ribs are the ultimate BBQ delight!

Ingredients

4 pork baby back ribs from Hill House Farm 

Rib seasoning

50g brown sugar

2 tbsp chilli powder

2 tbsp salt

2 tbsp garlic powder

2 tbsp onion powder

2 tbsp cayenne pepper

1 tbsp black pepper

Dr Pepper BBQ Sauce

250g ketchup

150ml cider vinegar

150g brown sugar

4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

4tbsp tomato paste

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

330ml of Dr Pepper

Salt and black pepper to taste

Method

1. Soak ribs overnight in apple juice 

2. Drain the ribs from the apple juice

3. Mix the rib seasoning spices together and shake all over the ribs

4. Cook slowly for three hours on the BBQ with coals set away to one side away from the ribs so the heat is not direct, or on a fire pit using a tripod stand with grill tray.

5. Mix the Dr Pepper BBQ sauce ingredients together in a bowl

6. Simmer for 20 minutes in a pan

7. Baste the sauce over the ribs every half an hour while cooking

8. Serve a pot of the sauce on the side when the ribs are ready
